BUSINESS DIAGNOSTIC · DEBORAH REYNOLDS

Before you work harder, find what your business is losing.

Get a thorough, independent look at the revenue opportunities, unnecessary costs and operational friction that deserve your attention—and a clear plan for what to do next.

You may be busy. You may even be growing. But are your offers, pricing, follow-up and delivery working together as well as they could?

The Business Diagnostic is a focused, one-month engagement for business owners who want evidence, perspective and priorities before making their next move.

Start with a 30-minute conversation. We discuss your situation and whether a diagnostic is the right next step. No purchase required.

Every business has leaks. The most expensive ones may be the ones you haven’t noticed.

Perhaps enquiries arrive but too few become clients. Perhaps a popular service consumes more time than its margin justifies. Perhaps your team keeps fixing the same problem—or the business only works when you personally hold everything together.

More marketing is not automatically the answer. Neither is a new app, a lower price or another offer. First, we need to understand where the difficulty begins.

A closer look at the whole business

  • Demand and positioning: who you attract, what they understand and why they choose you.
  • Offers, pricing and service mix: what you sell, the work it requires and the economics behind it.
  • Lead-to-client journey: enquiries, conversations, booking, follow-up and retention.
  • Revenue and costs: patterns, potential missed opportunities and expenses worth questioning.
  • Capacity and owner dependence: where time, decisions or delivery become bottlenecks.
  • Systems and execution: repeated manual tasks, handoff gaps and priorities that never get implemented.

The specific areas and records reviewed are agreed before we begin. This is tailored analysis of your business, not a generic scorecard.

What you leave with

  • A full written Business Diagnostic report connecting findings to the information reviewed.
  • A clear view of potential leaks and opportunities, with assumptions and information gaps identified.
  • Prioritized recommendations so you can see what deserves attention first, what can wait and what needs more evidence.
  • A practical action roadmap to guide your next decisions and implementation.
  • A debrief with Deborah to discuss the findings, trade-offs and next steps.

You can use the recommendations with your own team. Further advisory or implementation support is a separate decision.

How we work together

  1. Start with fit. We discuss the decision or problem you want to address and agree the scope, fee, deliverables and required information.
  2. Gather the evidence. You complete an extensive questionnaire and provide the agreed business documents through the designated submission process.
  3. Investigate and clarify. I review the information, test explanations and ask follow-up questions. AI-assisted analysis supports the work; I review the evidence and own the final recommendations.
  4. Make the findings usable. You receive your report and we walk through priorities and next steps together.

The one-month review period begins once the agreed required information has been received and accepted. Missing records or changes in scope can affect timing; we address those before proceeding.

Why work with Deborah?

None of us can read the label from inside the bottle. When you are responsible for delivering the work, serving clients and making decisions, it can be difficult to step back and examine how the pieces interact.

My role is to bring an investigative perspective to your business: ask the questions that have not been asked, examine the evidence, challenge assumptions and help you decide where your effort will be most useful.

Is this the right fit?

This is designed for owners of operating businesses who can share relevant records, want an honest assessment and are prepared to act on what they learn. It is especially useful when you are deciding what to fix, simplify, automate or grow.

If you need urgent bookkeeping reconstruction, a formal financial audit, tax or legal advice, or someone to implement everything for you immediately, we should discuss whether a different specialist or engagement is the better starting point.

Investment

US$5,000 for the core one-month Business Diagnostic. Applicable taxes and the precise scope are confirmed in your written proposal before purchase. Businesses with more complex structures or review requirements receive a tailored scope and quote.

The complimentary consultation is a fit conversation, not the full diagnostic.

Questions you may be asking

Will you guarantee a specific amount of revenue?

No. Identifying an opportunity is different from realizing it. Recommendations depend on the evidence available; financial results also depend on implementation, demand and other factors. Any opportunity estimates will state their assumptions.

Do I need perfect records?

No. We first establish what is available and whether it is sufficient for a useful review. Missing information is made visible, not filled in with guesses.

Can this complement my accountant or CFO?

Yes. The diagnostic connects commercial and operational questions—such as offers, customer experience, follow-up and capacity—with the financial information available. It does not replace your accountant’s, CFO’s or other specialist’s work.

Will I have to buy ongoing coaching?

No. The diagnostic has standalone value. Any additional support is discussed separately, only if it fits your needs.
